2008 Examination Study Sessions
For CDT Program and CCS, CCPR, CCCA Certifications Exams
The St. Louis Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute will conduct free study sessions and workshops covering the CSI Manual of Practice and the AIA/EJCDC General Conditions. For more information about the exams, please log on to www.csinet.org and click the "certification" symbol.

These study sessions have been developed for candidates registered to take the CDT and Certification Examinations. However, anyone in the construction industry is welcome to attend to gain a better understanding of CSI's Manual of Practice.

There is no cost for these sessions, but attendees will need to obtain a copy of the CSI Manual of Practice 1996 Edition with 2000 Addendum, or the Project Resource Manual, both available at www.csinet.org and the EJCDC E-500, C-520 and C-700 General Conditions of the Construction Contract 2002 edition, available from National Society of Professional Engineers, 703-684-2800 (www.nspe.org) and the AIA 201 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction 1997 edition, which is available at the St. Louis Chapter, AIA Bookstore (314)621-3484, 911 Washington Ave, St. Louis, MO.

The purpose of the Manual of Practice / Project Resource Manual is to outline recommended techniques and philosophy for preparing, organizing, using and interpreting construction documents. It does not contain technical knowledge and the ability to develop a project manual that only comes through knowledge and ability gained through education and professional experience in the office and in the field.

Forms will be available for individuals wishing to gain AIA Learning Units (HSW) by attending these study sessions. The St. Louis Chapter of the CSI is underwriting the cost of handouts for these sessions. In order to prevent undue cost to the Chapter, we ask that you contact us so that we have an accurate count of attendees at each session. Please contact our certifications chairperson to let him know which sessions you will be attending.
